charming skegness
Skegness keeps on being popular with generation after generation, year after year due to its charming combination of the best of the old and the best of the new.
There is so much to see and do it's impossible to fit everything in! A firm favourite, for all ages is the famous award winning golden sands of Skegness beach,
(The beach has a current Blue Flag Award) Only minutes from the town centre,
it has carparks right on the beach edge too! the vital bucket and spade and picnic basket needn't be carried far, and for the children the famous Skegness donkeys offer an alternative form of transport. Everybody has a childhood favorite.
The beach is so large, you always have a choice of more private areas. offen the tide brings in star fish which cover the beach. many other sea creatures can be found too, wonderful for expoling the pools at sunset.
The nearest Tourist Information Centre is on Grand Parade. The nearest toilets are on Towers Esplanade, just 1200m from the beach. There are loads of places to eat near to the beach and in the town centre. There are usually life guards on duty at this beach between 10am and 5pm. There is anything from sunbathing to Deckchairs (can be hired for £1.70 per day or £1 per session) swimming to a game of golf, walking or shopping, to lift your spirit leaving you refreshed and ready to hit the attractions or the nightlife.
