Went there when I was 7 on trips - still love it at 70!

I have just returned from another week in Skegness and it has been as good as ever. The tea and coffee shop that I wrote about last time is down by the entrance to the fair opposite the little rascals play area. After having a wonderful cup of coffee I decided to have some sea food and I can definitely recommend the sea food from a place called Michelle's in the same row of kiosks as the coffe shop. The beach was as clean as ever during my stay and the locals were very friendley as always.

I have to agree with most, that the beach is one of the cleanest around. We visit Skegness about 4-5 times a year because of the bracing air and the local hospitality. My 5 year old son loves the beach with his bucket and spade and all the amusements and rides. We have just returned from Jamaica, which is pure paradise but for my son no bucket and spade in sight or amusements, he came home and wanted to go to Skegness the week after. Thanks SkegnessTony, Nottingham
I agree with everyone about the cleanliness of the beach - in fact the whole of Skegness is kept very clean. The locals are very friendly & helpful, plus the shopping is great. I think I've been to the same coffee shop - it's called The Patio and I've never seen so many different coffees on a menu! The owner is always very cheerful & can tell you anything you need to know about Skegness. We come to Skeggie twice a year & he always remembers us and asks about our children.

I think that Skegness beach is one of the cleanest in the country and the people from Skegness are very friendly. I have been coming to Skegness since 1989 at least 4 times a year and I would not go any where else to stay. The food is good and very reasonably priced especially at the kiosks leading to the fair opposite the crazy golf and the river ride. Long may Skegness be our top resort for its bracing air and attractions.Michael J Evans, Kingswinford, West Midlands.
I recently moved home after living in Skegness for a number of years. I really miss the sea air and the bustle of the summertime tourists. I really enjoyed my time I lived in Skegness and would love to go back and visit one day. Katie @hartlepool ex butlins babe
I think Skegness beach is da best! I go every year and I never get fed up wit it

Skegness beach is one of the cleanest beaches I've ever come across especially when you think of the amount of people that use it during the summer months.Every morning without fail you see the council tractor down on the beach cleaning it for the next lot of visitors to come down to a very nice clean beach.Pity they couldn't heat the water for us as well LOL.The good folks of Skegness should be very proud of their beach, may it stay clean for many a year to come. The Robertson Family (Glasgow/Scotland)I think Skegness beach is wicked! Sophie Me and my cousin think it is a wicked park. We came back from Skegness on Saturday the 16th and wished we could stay longer so we can go on it again. our favourite ride was surf rider. we like storm aswell.

To be honest, in the middle of the summer holidays, it's a bit too busy for me, but earlier or later in the season I really love it - There are still enough people about for it to feel popular, but there are less queues.

Make time to go to the Pleasure Beach while you're there - The Waltzers are fantastic... the rollercoaster is a bit tame though.
Andy Minting, Barnsley

Although the beach itself is excellent, I feel that the pleasure beach rides and amusements needs updating and bringing into the 21st century.

I have to agree with the comments that people have made about skegness beach being very clean and tidy as it has always been clean when i have visited skegness. I would also agree that the people of skegness are very friendly towards holiday makers and that skegness its self is very good as a value for money holiday destination. I also have been to the shops by the golf and the river ride and the is one shop that seems to specialise in coffee & tea and it is first class and i would differently go there again if i was in need of a refreshing drink as the man there always has a friendly smile on his face. Roll on the next time that i visit skegness.
